We film what is already happening.

The idea started with something very small.

A few days before Christmas, I was out for a walk when I passed a woman carrying a package that looked heavy and awkward.

I remember thinking, she looks like she could use some help.

And then I kept walking.

A few steps later, I realised I had thought the same thing many times before. Seen something. Thought about doing something. Then let the moment pass.

So I turned around.

I walked back and said, “That looks heavy. Do you need some help?”

She did.

We carried the package back to her home. She thanked me, I continued my walk, and that was it.

Nothing extraordinary happened.

But something stayed with me.

It wasn’t really about helping her. It was about the space between an instinct and an action. The moment where you can either keep walking

or turn around.

That moment became the starting point for the first film.

The first story. The first piece. The first echo.
